Record for a Day's Production

Friday, August 5, 2016

What a past month it has been for Coke and Iron which culminated on the 3rd of August with No.5 Blast Furnace breaking its all time daily production record with 8113 tonnes of quality iron. Previous best was 7964 tonnes back in 2009 just before the reline.
This is on top of multiple records seen in July including monthly tonnes, several weekly tonnes, monthly average liquid volume/day and multiple daily liquid volume.

A fantastic effort from not only the Coke and Iron teams but all those other teams that support this result. In no particular order, energy services, refractories, slabmaking, ASMS, PCI plant and not forgetting the PN rail teams. A big thank you to all these teams.
