North Star facility expansion boosts production

A ceremony at North Star BlueScope Steel in Delta, Ohio, has marked the plant's US$700 million facility expansion.  The expansion has created more than 100 new jobs and will increase annual hot rolled coil production by 850,000 metric tonnes.

Promoting careers in STEM

Our Australian Steel Products business has entered into a new partnership with the NSW Department of Education to establish a STEM academy in the Illawarra, home to the Port Kembla Steelworks.  The Department’s STEM Industry School Partnership (SISP) Program aims to give students practical and real-world insights into the application of their classroom experiences.
