Chief Legal Officer | BA, LLB
Debra was appointed to the Executive Leadership Team in 2017 after a tenure as BlueScope's General Counsel - Corporate. As Chief Legal Officer, Debra is the executive leader who sets out the strategic direction for global legal, including all legal requirements of large scale projects and investments, company secretarial, governance, ethics and compliance.
Before arriving at BlueScope in 2014, Debra had an extensive corporate private practice career spanning more than 25 years in partner and equivalent roles at leading global law firms throughout Australia, Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Debra also serves as a member of the boards of BlueScope's two joint ventures - NSBSL Limited with Nippon Steel in ASEAN and Tata BlueScope Steel Limited with Tata Steel in India (which she also Chairs).
