AustCham I Care Project

China:  Volunteers from BlueScope China supported the 'AustCham I Care Project' (run by the  Australian Chamber of Commerce) to give children in migrant schools a better chance at proper eye care. Our volunteers were set the task of teaching groups of children the importance of eye care, and a hospital in Shanghai provided the children a free eye test. This project aims to improve the vision of disadvantaged children in China, which is becoming an increasingly serious issue nowadays, by providing essential eye care equipment and voluntary educational services. We hope our continuing support gives these young Chinese students a brighter future in their own eyes.
