Rugby League Against Violence

Australia:  BlueScope employees swam a relay to support Rugby League Against Violence (RLAV).  Leveraging the popularity of rugby league in PNG - it is the country's national sport - RLAV works with communities to help eliminate family and sexual violence which has been identified as the largest barrier to development in PNG.  Eight teams each swam eight km - the distance that separates Australia's northern most island and PNG.  A number of local ruby league players and other sports people were on hand to help the swimmers raise money and awareness of the work of RLAV.
