In December 2021, BlueScope announced the acquisition of the ferrous scrap steel recycling business of MetalX.  Today BlueScope Recycling & Materials is a full-service, ferrous scrap metal recycler with processing facilities in Waterloo, Indiana and in Delta, Ohio adjacent to our North Star BlueScope Steel facility.

With a focus on delivering the highest level of service, BlueScope Recycling & Materials buys scrap from industrial generators, wholesale suppliers, and the general public.  As a processor, this business transforms raw ferrous scrap into specification melt products for primary and secondary producers of iron, steel, and stainless steel.
