Australian Steel Products employs around 6,000 employees at more than 50 facilities and over 50 distribution centres in Australia.

We specialise in flat steel products, including slab, hot rolled coil, cold rolled coil, plate and value-added metallic coated and painted steel solutions.  Our key focus is on higher value, branded products for the building and construction industry.

Our steelworks at Port Kembla - in New South Wales' Illawarra region - is the largest steel production facility in Australia.  With an annual production capacity of approximately 3.0 million tonnes of crude steel it manufactures slab, hot rolled coil and plate products. The steelworks, metal coating and painting lines and associated operations constitute BlueScope in the Illawarra.

BlueScope's branded products are market leaders in Australia, and include COLORBOND® steel, ZINCALUME® metallic coated steel, GALVASPAN® steel, and the LYSAGHT® brand of quality steel building products.

The Lysaght business rollforms and supplies a range of products, including roof and wall cladding, steel house framing, rainwater products, fencing, structural products such as purlins and flooring systems, meshes and walkways, and home improvement products. LYSAGHT® products are sold through distributors and suppliers.

BlueScope Distribution is a leading steel and aluminium product, processing and solutions provider. With a national network of 16 branches across metro locations and major regional towns, BlueScope Distribution is committed to supplying customers in the infrastructure, renewable energy, defence, transport, mining, agriculture as well as commercial and residential building industries.

In FY2014, BlueScope acquired the Fielders building products business, pipe and tube manufacturer and distributor Orrcon Steel, and the sheet and coil processing and distribution assets of OneSteel.
