We're an international supplier of steel products and solutions, primarily in the building and construction markets across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, China, India, Southeast Asia and North America.
Australia
BlueScope's Australian business, Australian Steel Products (ASP) employs around 7,000 employees at approximately 100 sites, being a mix of large manufacturing plants, rollforming facilities and distribution centres across Australia.
The segment specialises in flat steel products, including hot rolled coil, cold rolled coil, plate and value-added metallic coated and painted steel solutions. Its key focus is on higher value, branded products for the building and construction industry.
BlueScope operates five businesses in North America in two reporting segments, employing around 4,000 people. The North Star reporting segment is comprised by the North Star BlueScope Steel (North Star) and BlueScope Recycing and Materials (BRM) businesses. The Buildings and Coated Products North America segment includes Buildings North America (BNA), BlueScope Coated Products (BCP) and NS BlueScope North America (Steelscape and ASC Profiles).
The New Zealand and Pacific Island Business (NZPI) employs around 2,000 employees at sites located in Auckland, Fiji, New Caledonia and Vanuatu - manufacturing a wider range of flat and rolled products for use in the building & construction, infrastructure and manufacturing.
BlueScope is a technology leader in metal coated and painted steel building products, with a wide range of branded products that include pre-painted COLORBOND® steel, zinc-aluminium-magnesium ZINCALUME® steel, the LYSAGHT® range of building products and the Butler® pre-engineered metal building system. The BlueScope China business is comprised of metal coating, painting and Lysaght operations, and Engineered Buildings Solutions (EBS).
The ASEAN business has an extensive footprint of metallic coating, painting and steel building product operations in Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia, primarily servicing the domestic residential and non-residential building and construction industries in each country in which it operates.
Tata BlueScope Steel is a leading manufacturer of colour coated steel, metal roofing sheets, industrial wall cladding solutions & steel buildings in India. BlueScope operates its India business in partnership with Tata Steel as a 50/50 joint venture.
